Ovechkin appears in United Russia campaign video ahead of parliamentary election

Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin appeared in a campaign video for United Russia, the party that supports Vladimir Putin. The video features Ovechkin alongside foreign minister Sergey Lavrov and RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan ahead of Russia's Sept. 18-20 parliamentary vote. Ovechkin launched the pro-Putin Putin Team movement in 2017.
