Bob Mackie, the American designer who dressed Cher, Diana Ross, Elton John and Madonna in beaded stage clothes, died on 14 September 2026. He was 87. His official Instagram account announced the death. WWD, the US fashion trade publication, reported he died of pneumonia in hospital.
