Bob Mackie has died at 87, Variety reported 14 September 2026, citing a statement on his Instagram account. Variety reported he created looks for Cher and Diana Ross, gowns for Tina Turner and costumes for Carol Burnett. He was known as the “Sultan of Sequins”, Variety reported.
