Prince William urges climate action in Independent essay after extreme summer

Prince William wrote in The Independent on Sept. 14 that this summer's record temperatures, heatwaves, droughts and wildfires should prompt action, not despair. He called the wildfires devastating and the damage alarming, and thanked brave firefighters. He tied the appeal to his Earthshot Prize, launched in 2020 to scale planet-repair solutions by 2030.
