Diablo 5 to launch with most classes in series history

Game director Joe Shely said Diablo 5 will launch with more classes than any earlier Diablo game. He spoke during a BlizzCon 2026 panel following the reveal in the opening ceremony with an announced release window of spring 2029. Blizzard revealed Monk, Demon Hunter and new Plague Knight. Shely said the total roster will also set a series record.
