Resident Evil film has no legacy characters, including Leon S. Kennedy

Zach Cregger's Resident Evil tells an original story with no legacy game characters. Leon S. Kennedy will not appear. Austin Abrams plays Bryan, a medical courier delivering cargo to Raccoon City General Hospital during the T-virus outbreak. The film is due for release 18 September 2026. Cregger said he underestimated appetite for Leon stories.
