Wales women's chief calls link between women's spending and men's cuts 'embarrassing'

Wales women's rugby director Nadine Griffiths said it was "embarrassing" to suggest investment in the women's game is behind plans to cut men's regions from four to three. She said the women's programme does not take money from the men's game, citing five separate WRU budget lines, and said the women's game generated £1.7m last year.
