Rome opens 2,000-year-old Baths of Trajan hall to public

First visitors entered the first-century hall beneath the Baths of Trajan in Rome on 12 and 13 September, The Art Newspaper reported. The underground gallery holds the “Painted City” fresco and “Muse and the Philosopher” mosaic, found in 1990s excavations. Entry is in weekend groups of 15, expanding to Friday to Sunday from 2 October.
