Tooro's King Oyo, crowned aged three, dies aged 34

King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV of Tooro died on 27 August 2026 aged 34. The Tooro Kingdom announced the passing of the Omukama of Tooro. He became the world's youngest ruling monarch in 1995 aged three and took full duties in 2010. He died in the United States while under treatment for a critical illness.
