Trump Declines Saudi Request for Joint U.S. Strikes on Houthis

President Donald Trump declined Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's request for U.S. strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, Reuters reported Sept. 12. Riyadh wanted help after Houthis claimed drone and missile hits on a Saudi airbase and oil sites. The U.S. continues its own Iran campaign but will not join Saudi strikes, leaving Riyadh to retaliate alone.
