Cregger cut jokes from Resident Evil film after test screenings

Resident Evil director Zach Cregger told The Hollywood Reporter he stripped out humour after test audiences liked the film but found it too much of a comedy. He said a little humour goes far in horror and audiences liked the recut more. The film is due for release on 18 September.
