Old Oak Common station tiles use Ma'amoul biscuit-mould patterns

Designer Bahbak Hashemi-Nezhad and maker Rafael El Baz created Sweet Terrain wall tiles for Old Oak Common station in west London with reliefs from moulds modelled on wooden tools for Ma'amoul cookies. Dezeen reported on 14 September 2026 the design draws on west London patisseries run by bakers who migrated from Lebanon and Syria.
