Khan says £2.2 million for London Design Festival unlocked £1.23 billion

London mayor Sadiq Khan told Dezeen on 14 September 2026 that City Hall's £2.2 million support for the London Design Festival over 10 years helped unlock £1.23 billion for the economy through jobs and investment. The organiser lists 2026 as the 24th edition. The claim follows City Hall's March 2025 announcement of more than £10 million for creative industries.
