NRL on verge of running Super League from 2027

The NRL is on the verge of effectively running Super League from 2027, with almost all clubs in favour. The Australian Rugby League Commission, which runs the NRL, would provide about £35m over five years for administrative control. A linked plan raised a return to winter to allow year-round broadcasts.
