Manchester City beat Aston Villa 4-1 at Villa Park on 13 September to return to the top of the Women's Super League. The reigning champions are the only side with two wins from two. Villa took a first Women's Super League point against Chelsea in a 1-1 draw on 5 September before losing their first home game.
