Turkey holds 63 in coordinated raids on LGBTQ groups

Turkish police detained at least 63 people in September 2026 raids on LGBTQ organizations, gay bars and activist homes in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Mersin. Prosecutors called it a coordinated national operation. The group Kaos GL says police searched its offices.
