Hulu cancels Buffy reboot New Sunnydale after pilot

Hulu has cancelled Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale after its pilot, a test episode made before a series order, Variety reported. Sarah Michelle Gellar announced in an Instagram video Hulu would not move forward. Ryan Kiera Armstrong was set to star as the new slayer, with Gellar returning as Buffy, per Variety.
