Kimi Antonelli won the Spanish Grand Prix at the new Madring circuit for Mercedes, beating Max Verstappen into second with Lando Norris third for McLaren. It was Antonelli's eighth win in 14 races. Norris started from pole but lost out after missing the lap-15 virtual safety car — enforced slow speed, no overtaking — pit window.
