Lakeem Rose develops modern-war Much Ado in original English with subtitles

British writer-director Lakeem Rose is developing his feature debut as a Much Ado About Nothing set just after a modern war, Variety reported. Four returning soldiers reunite at a family friend's house speaking Shakespeare's Early Modern English with contemporary English subtitles, Variety reported. The project is in development, the pre-shoot financing phase, with market meetings planned at Toronto, Variety reported.
