Royal Collection Trust corrects accession year to 2022 after Instagram error

The Royal Collection Trust posted that 'On this day in 2023, King Charles III acceded to the throne,' then amended it to 2022 after followers replied '2022' and 'You'd think they'd know!' Accession — the automatic succession on death — came on 8 September 2022. The crowning ceremony followed on 6 May 2023.
