President Donald Trump's praise for a unified Ireland as 'fantastic' during his two-day Ireland visit does not change U.S. policy, former Northern Ireland envoy Mick Mulvaney said Sept. 12. Washington still backs the Good Friday Agreement, the 1998 peace deal that lets Northern Ireland decide its future. A personal view, Mulvaney said, is not official policy.
