Werro beats Hodgkinson to win 800m in Budapest

Audrey Werro won the 800m at the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest on 12 September in 1:55.88. Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson finished second in 1:56.26 after passing Femke Broeders-Bol on the home straight. The result repeated August's European final, with Werro now three times sub-1:54 in summer 2026.
