Shelton bids to be first Black American US Open champion since Ashe in 1968

Ben Shelton faces Alexander Zverev in the US Open men's final on Sunday, 13 September in Arthur Ashe Stadium. A win would make him the first Black American man to take the singles title since Arthur Ashe in 1968, the Guardian reported. He would also be the first American man to win a major since Andy Roddick in 2003.
