
Clancy Jury Deadlocked After Holdout Acknowledged Doubt but Rejected Insanity Defense
Three jurors told NBC10 Boston a lone holdout admitted reasonable doubt about Lindsay Clancy's guilt but refused to acquit her by reason of insanity, deadlocking the jury. Clancy strangled her three children in 2023; the defense argued a psychotic break. The foreperson flagged to the judge that the holdout wasn't following reasonable-doubt instructions. Prosecutors haven't said whether they'll retry her.
