Tiafoe recovers from two sets and a break down to reach third US Open semi-final

American 11th seed Frances Tiafoe trailed 5-3 in the third set with Alex Michelsen serving for the match. He broke back, won 5-7 3-6 7-5 6-3 7-6 (10-6) in four hours 38 minutes, and reached his third US Open semi-final in five years. Michelsen, 22, was in tears at the net after his first Grand Slam quarter-final.
