Netflix orders straight-to-series 'Lonesome Dove' from Kazan and Stuart

Netflix has greenlit a straight-to-series adaptation of Larry McMurtry's Pulitzer-winning novel Lonesome Dove — a full-season commitment with no pilot shot first. Zoe Kazan and Jeb Stuart, co-showrunners on Netflix's upcoming East of Eden, write and executive produce. Teton Ridge Entertainment, which acquired the franchise rights in February 2025, produces.
