Fired 60 Minutes editor Campanile accuses CBS of yielding to White House pressure

Guy Campanile, 60 Minutes managing editor fired in May after 34 years at CBS, says he was told to conduct administration-arranged interviews and refused to "jam" White House talking points into reporting. His Facebook post, obtained by The Guardian, called editorial independence "a casualty of corporate priorities and ideological intrusion." CBS did not respond to Variety's request for comment.
