Elton John returns from touring retirement for Rock in Rio 2026 one-off

Elton John came out of official touring retirement for a one-off performance at Rock in Rio 2026, Billboard reported on 8 September. The 7 September bill at Parque Rita Lee in Rio de Janeiro also featured Fatboy Slim's Rock in Rio debut and Gilberto Gil. Fatboy Slim told Billboard Brasil sharing the bill was "an honor" and called representing English electronic music a "position of great honor."
