WeVerse Confirms Data Leak Affecting 422,584 Fan Accounts

HYBE's fan platform WeVerse confirmed a data leak affecting 422,584 user accounts, Billboard reported on September 8. Exposed data included payment method, currency type, purchase amount, purchase date and time, and internal identification information. Card numbers, names and contact details were not affected. CEO Zooile Yang said WeVerse is individually notifying all impacted customers after an investigation triggered by Korea's cyber-response agency, KISA.
