Godzilla Minus Zero is the first Japanese film shot for IMAX

Takashi Yamazaki's Godzilla Minus Zero is the first Japanese production filmed for Imax, Deadline reported on 8 September 2026. The sequel to Godzilla Minus One — which won the 2024 VFX Oscar and grossed $113.9 million worldwide — opens in North American theatres on 6 November via Toho and GKIDS.
