Jimmy Smits joins The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon's final season

AMC+ confirmed Jimmy Smits has joined the fourth and final season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, premiering in 2027. He plays Captain Alejandro Perkins, a former U.S. Navy officer and medical doctor. In a teaser released by AMC+, Perkins tells a bloody Daryl, "Welcome home, son." Showrunner David Zabel said the season completes Daryl and Carol's story in Spain.
