Annie Gonzalez will play Mayra Guillén in an as-yet-untitled, family-authorized biopic of slain U.S. Army Specialist Vanessa Guillén, Deadline reported on 8 September 2026. Mayra Guillén executive produces alongside the family's collaboration. Jorge Xolalpa directs for Mighty Aphrodite Pictures; Jolene Rodriguez produces through Broken English Productions. Gonzalez starred as Jenni Rivera in ViX's 2023 film Jenni.
