Liverpool's £123m man was nearly loaned to a Swiss club three years ago

Liverpool have agreed a £123m deal for PSG's Bradley Barcola — a winger who, per L'Equipe, was close to joining Swiss side St Gallen in January 2023 just to get game time after being dropped to Lyon's reserves. He stayed, scored a winner against PSG that April, and joined them five months later for £38.5m.
