Industrial Fire in Tracy Sends Smoke Across City, Taints Air

A massive fire at a Medline Industries warehouse in Tracy, California on June 11 burned medical supplies—gloves, gowns, wound care products—releasing thick smoke and chemicals that degraded air quality to unhealthy levels across the city. The one-million-square-foot facility forced evacuations nearby. The cause remains under investigation.
