US Orders Anthropic to Block Foreign Nationals From Frontier AI Models

The US government directed Anthropic to restrict access to its Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models based on citizenship, not location. Foreign nationals anywhere on Earth cannot use these systems—a departure from traditional export controls, which rely on geography.
