Nottingham Forest sign Diomande from Sporting for £34m

Nottingham Forest signed Ivory Coast defender Ousmane Diomande from Sporting for a reported £34m, BBC Sport reports. The 22-year-old, who played at the 2026 World Cup and made 132 appearances for Sporting, joins on a four-year deal with a further-year option. Diomande called Forest "a historic club." The deal was first reported by The Athletic's David Ornstein on 8 August.
