Grid Iron turns Leith engineering works into stage for world-premiere Mayflies at 2026 Fringe

Grid Iron, the Edinburgh company specialising in site-specific work — theatre made for a particular building — stages the world-premiere adaptation of Andrew O'Hagan's 2020 novel Mayflies in a former Leith engineering works. Written and directed by Ben Harrison, it marks the company's 30th anniversary. Runs 7–30 August 2026, part of the Made in Scotland showcase. Tickets £25, 95 minutes.
