OpenAI Launches GPT-5.6-Cyber for Authorized Security Work

OpenAI has launched GPT-5.6-Cyber, built on its GPT-5.6 Sol model and available through the Daybreak Red tier of its cybersecurity program. The model is trained to reduce refusals on dual-use tasks like zero-day discovery and exploit chain development — requests standard frontier models would decline. Access is limited to approved partners conducting authorized security work.
