Saber CEO confirms trailer jab at Gearbox's Pitchford, says he'd be 'performing magic tricks' without Embracer

Saber Interactive CEO Matt Karch told Game File that a Rideshare 'Stimulator' trailer dig at Gearbox president Randy Pitchford was deliberate, retaliation for Pitchford mocking Embracer Group in Borderlands 4. Karch said: 'Without Embracer, Randy is performing magic tricks at birthday parties for a living.' Embracer owned both studios; it sold Gearbox to Take-Two for US$460 million in 2024.
