UEFA, AFC and CONCACAF accuse FIFA of 'breach of trust' and 'deception' over World Cup privatisation plan
Three continental confederations — UEFA, the AFC and CONCACAF — co-signed an open letter accusing FIFA of "breach of trust" and "deception" over Gianni Infantino's late-July proposal to partly privatise the World Cup through a "FIFA Forward Enterprise." Infantino withdrew and apologised, but the confederations' presidents demanded "leadership that serves football, not seeks to command it." Africa, South America and Donald Trump still back him.
