Gundam RG XARX-ZERO Director Says Alien Threat Is Metaphor for AI

Kamiyama Kenji told Variety the hostile, self-replicating ecosystem in Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO is "a metaphor for technologies such as AI that humanity is already beginning to struggle to handle." The anime, animated by SOLA Animation, is scheduled for 2027. Kamiyama's credits include Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
