Gramado Film Festival Launches First-Ever Filmmaker Residency, Selecting 60 From 200-Plus Applicants

The 54th Gramado Film Festival in Brazil launches its first Residency for Young Filmmakers on Aug. 17-19. Sixty filmmakers aged 18 to 35 were selected from more than 200 applicants, each required to have worked on at least one film. The three-day programme in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, covers 17 sessions on distribution, directing, production and public policy for the audiovisual sector (Variety, 2026-08-11).
