Telemundo airs Operación Triunfo live finale hours after 7.4-magnitude Colombia quake kills over 100

Telemundo proceeded with the live finale of Operación Triunfo on August 10, hours after a 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck Colombia, killing at least 111 (PBS NewsHour). The show is produced at RCN's studios in Bogotá. Host Natalia Téllez acknowledged the quake at the top of the broadcast. Judges David Bisbal, Ximena Sariñana and Ana Bárbara were visibly affected. The finale was not postponed.
