iHeartMedia CEO: Midterm Political Ad Demand Matching Presidential-Year Levels

iHeartMedia posted Q2 2022 revenue of $977 million, up 4.7% year over year, lifted by political primary advertising ahead of the November US midterms, Billboard reported. CEO Bob Pittman said political ad demand was performing "at the level of a presidential election year." Executives expected spend to intensify through the second half of 2022 as television airwaves filled.
