Chris Carter's R-Rated Director's Cut of The X-Files: I Want to Believe Streams on Hulu 14 August

Chris Carter recut his 2008 film "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" into an R-rated director's cut, retitled "Vrach Frankenshteyn," streaming on Hulu 14 August 2026. The original was cut twice after Fox and MPA pressure for a PG-13. Carter says the recut restores the horror and is shorter than the original (The Hollywood Reporter).
