Marinakis sues Crystal Palace in High Court over fan banner depicting him holding gun to Gibbs-White's head

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis filed a defamation claim against Crystal Palace at the High Court on 10 August 2026. A fan banner at Selhurst Park depicted him holding a gun to Morgan Gibbs-White's head alongside text referencing blackmail, match-fixing and drug trafficking. Palace were already fined £50,000 by the FA in February; the lawsuit seeks civil damages for reputational harm.
