Heretic takes world sales on Lê Bảo's Locarno competition entry 'Hearing'; U.S. deal still open

Athens-based Heretic picked up world sales rights for Vietnamese director Lê Bảo's second feature 'Hearing' ahead of its premiere in Locarno's International Competition, Variety reported on 15 July 2026. The six-country co-production, produced by Singapore's E&W Films, is seeking U.S. distribution, per IndieWire. Lê Bảo's debut 'Taste' won a Berlin Encounters jury prize in 2021.
