Three Banksy artworks in London have cost British taxpayers almost £150,000 (about US$200,000) in cleaning, security and removal costs so far, figures obtained through Freedom of Information requests show. The Guardian and BBC News, reporting on 9–10 August 2026, say the bill is expected to rise as maintenance and future discoveries add to it.
