MGM+ Sets September 20 Premiere for Jon Hamm Thriller 'American Hostage'

MGM+ premieres the eight-episode psychological thriller "American Hostage" on 20 September 2026, starring Jon Hamm as real-life Indianapolis WIBC radio reporter Fred Heckman. Giovanni Ribisi plays hostage taker Tony Kiritsis. Based on the 1977 siege, the Sony Pictures Television series runs weekly to a 1 November finale. Shawn Ryan and Eileen Myers co-created.
