Bono and Eddie Vedder performed at Glen Hansard's funeral in Dublin

Glen Hansard, who won an Academy Award with the Swell Season, died in a motorcycle crash on 29 July 2025 at age 56. At his funeral on 4 August 2025 at Dublin's St Patrick's Cathedral, Bono performed a reworked "Beautiful Day" and Eddie Vedder sang "The Song of Good Hope" with Markéta Irglová.
